Gemstone Reveals, 5 Senses, and More!

We are having so much fun learning to play Gagaball at recess!

This week we learned about The Nest - a special room where we get to learn from Mrs. Keys, the school counselor.

We used our sense of taste to compare sour, sweet, and salty foods.

We had our first book checkout at the Newman Library.  Please bring your book back every Thursday for a new book.

In math we used the words MORE and LESS to describe numbers on a number line.

In reading we learned that a character is a person or an animal in a story.  Check out our paper plate characters!

At Newman we get to grow with other kids and teachers throughout the school at our Gemstone Jamborees once a month.  Today we learned what our Gemstone will be.  Check your child's binder to see what color they will be!

We used or sense of touch to describe objects as bumpy, soft, rough, and smooth.

Reading Stations:

We use 10 Frames to represent sets of numbers.
