Week 1 of Kindrgarten!

It has been a week FULL of fun!  If your child feels a little tired in the afternoons, I think these pictures will show all the learning and fun that made them so tired! :)

For part of our morning routine the helper points to the ABC chart and we sing and dance to letter sounds.

We went on a scavenger hunt to follow the clues from Pete the Cat!  His clues helped us to learn about our school.

Hard at work!
Our kindergarten writers like to share their stories with the class.

In the afternoon we explore with our Brain Break tools!

Dry Erase Boards are a fun way to practice number writing.

Ms. Denman came to share her favorite stories and tell us about the Newman Library.  Thursday will be our first trip to the library!

Puzzles help us learn to work together.

We learned about the math stations we will work in this year: math games, math tubs, i-pad math, and more!

This year we will be kindergarten scientists!  We explored different science tools that we will use to make observations: goggles, droppers, balances, hand-lenses, tweezers, magnets, and more!

Gaga Ball is a favorite for many at recess!

We learned that great scientists (and students) ask questions... So, we went on an I Wonder Walk!  We explored and asked, "I wonder what that is.  I wonder how this works.  I wonder where that door goes.  I wonder why this is here.  Any many more!"  Encourage curiosity in your child!

This was only Week 1!  I can't wait to see what we learn next week!
